This annual event, which has been running for 10 years,  is held to raise money for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation (www.humpty.com.au),  raising money for children’s hospitals across Australia and Timor.  It is held on Awaba Street in Balmoral NSW and happens to be the street in which Bundy lives.  This year it was on the 30th May .  We registered and Bundy and I, with Carol and Phillip competed.  Mind you we had already had a 90 minute walk and a big play on the beach so we were well warmed up.   There are 20 events starting at 9am and we competed in the Pet event.  With hundreds of dogs at the start it was quite an occassion!

Carol Bundy Phillip and me – the Balmoral Burn

Bundy put on a sprint just before the finish line and just beat me.  I will post our times when they get published.

Organica has a great range of organic foods and vegetarian meals.  They use organic coffee roasted in Byron Bay and am allowed to sit on the lawn.  They do have water readily available but despite the management happy to have dogs the layout of the seating doesn’t allow dogs to sit near the tables.

Costa Noosa is our favourite cafe in the Noosa Sunshine Beach area.  Despite council regulations they welcome dogs and have areas that “comply”.  The coffee is excellent to the extent that we quite often get 2-3 kgs of their coffee sent to Perth it is that good.  Gavin, Tim and Luke are all excellent on the machine and have included a photo of Gavin roasting a new batch.

In Bundaberg for mother days d been to a great beach. Will be uploading the photos when I get a decent internet connection.

Located just a short walk from home in Hampden Road Nedlands WA, this has recently been renovated and was previously known as Six Clicks.  A good size water bowl always available and the girls really like me there.  Excellent coffee and great for breakfast and lunch and soon to be open for dinner in a wine bar bistro style.  These photos are the day that Stormie Mills did a painting on the wall which was one of the cafes finishing touches.

An Italian restaurant at the north end of Rokeby Road in Subiaco WA, serving excellent pizzas and other italian fare.  They made me welcome and even brough me water before mum and dad and without even asking.  It is hard to find places to go to at night but this was good.  As it is near the train station there was lots of traffic so had lots of people stop for a pat.  It is a full-time job getting cuddled, patted and rubbed.

Located on Cottesloe Beach adjacent the Ocean Beach Hotel, OBH to the locals, Barchetta is a very dog friendly place.  Water is always available.  My Saturday walk is from my mate Errol’s house in Swanbourne, where we get to walk the sandhills south of Swanbourne Barracks and down onto the Cottesloe dog beach which is a great spot throughout the year.  Good coffee and a good breakfast and lots of friends around.
